While the US , UK and Germany will not be getting the MeeGo powered Nokia N9 , Kazakhstan will. Yes you heard that right , if the flyers and billboards are to be believed then the first country to get the Nokia N9 will be Kazakhstan. Starting September 9th , it will be possible to purchase the Nokia N9 for 99,990 Kazakh Tenges which translates to about $679. The Nokia N9 comes with a revolutionary new Swipe UI which focuses on one handed usage. A 1Ghz processor runs the show here coupled with 1GB of RAM. The phone will be available in two configurations , 16GB in Cyan , Magenta and Black while the 64GB version will only be in Black. [Via-Engadget]

The rumours of the Apple iPhone 5 have been going on for months and they're still going strong. We have already seen numerous leaks of parts related to the iPhone 5. Now, a company called True Supplier is selling what it describes as genuine Apple iPhone 5 parts. The part in the picture above is said to the headphone jack of the iPhone 5. Available in both Black and White, it indicates that we may get both Black and White versions upon release. The camera lens replacement was also spotted but not many details were provided on it. Following the Wildfire S , it seems HTC wants to bring Android to even lower price points. The latest leak reveals the HTC Pico , a budget Android phone which lines up right alongside the Wildfire. The HTC Pico runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a 600Mhz processor along with 384MB of RAM. A 5MP camera is present at the back same as the Wildfire. Curiously the spec sheet mentions HTC Sense Zero which might be a stripped down version of the Sense UI. Looking at the color of the phone it is possible that it will come with replaceable covers to allow for customization. Are you interested in yet another low end Android handset ? [Via - Unwired View]
Samsung Tablet Ban lifted in EU except Germany

Following the preliminary injunction given to Samsung banning sales of its 10.1 " tablet across Europe , the Dusseldorf based court has reverted on its order. Apple claims that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a copy of the Apple iPad in the design department. Samsung on the other hand claims that while its German affiliate ie Samsung GmBH is not allowed to sell the tablet but the Korean company certainly can. Hence sales of the tablet will now continue in all of Europe except Germany. The next court date has been set at 25th August where Samsung is expected to explain why its tablet should be allowed to go on sale in Germany as well. [Via - IT World]

Engadget reports that LTE equipment has been installed in one of the biggest Apple Stores by AT&T. This news comes hot on the heels of a report that an LTE enabled iPhone is undergoing carrier testing. The equipment is compatible with the AWS and 700Mhz bands which AT&T will be using on completing the T-Mobile acquisition. Staffing has also been increased by up to 30 percent in a large number of stores. While it doesn't directly point to an LTE iPhone , the timing does sound rather coincidental. Motorola Atrix Gingerbread Update Now Available in Korea

Motorola Atrix 4G received the update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread last month to users in USA. Now the update is also available to users in Korea. The update will be available for the device in Korea starting on August 16th which is today. The upgrade will allow users to experience an improved user interface and smarter personal information management. Users can arrange their frequently used applications on the quick launch bar at the bottom. You can place contacts in groups and also send texts/emails to contacts in groups based on a calendar invitee list. The update is available at Customer Care Centers and through the Motorola website. Users can also download the update Over the Air.

CyanogenMod founder Steve Kondik joins Samsung Mobile

Samsung Mobile has hired Steve Kondik, the founder and chief developer of CyanogenMod. This news comes after he adds Samsung Mobile to his work on his Facebook Page. He has also confirmed that this has nothing to do with the CyanogenMod and he will continue working on the CyanogenMod as a side project. Samsung has always supported the CyanogenMod, and they gave all the CyanogenMod developers a free Galaxy S II. The CyanogenMod was first released in 2009 with the version 3.1 for HTC dream and HTC Magic. It is currently available for 30 devices and the downloads have already exceeded 500k mark. According to the folks at androidandme, he would not be blogging about Samsung in relationship with CyanogenMod, but he would be working on making Android more awesome.
